Double Down Ventures Welcomes Photobloom AR

Double Down Ventures, a startup incubator, welcomes PhotoBloom AR as its fourth company.  Through the magic of augmented reality, PhotoBloom AR allows you to use your own videos to create incredible photo products that come to life with movement and sound.

“We’re incredibly excited about integrating PhotoBloom AR into the Double Down ecosystem,” said Adam Alson, Founder of Double Down Ventures. “There are a lot of opportunities for brands, particularly in sports and entertainment, to add an augmented reality component to their narrative through pop-up experiences and promotional products.  The applications are so vast and plentiful, the creative potential is truly limitless.”

“We offer our clients the easiest way to use augmented reality as a creative tool,” said Justin Lemus, founder and CEO of PhotoBloom AR. “In addition, through Double Down Venture’s vast network of partners, we’re excited to offer brands our turn key augmented reality solutions, whether it’s for a product, marketing materials, signage, you name it. The possibilities are endless. Our AR technology provides something very unique and is sure to leave a lasting impression on their consumers.”

PhotoBloom AR recently partnered with Russell Powell of Pangaean Studios, an artist under our management division.  Prints of Russell’s art were created with a short video showing his hand stamping process and the results were outstanding.

“This partnership illustrated the power of start-up companies being a part of our incubator,” said Andrea Serie, Account Director at Double Down Ventures. “We were able to leverage an opportunity to create a broader audience and greater exposure. “

The PhotoBloom process starts with your video and a single frame is pulled from the video to serve as the “target image” for the printed photo product.  Once you receive the photo product, you can scan with the free app to see the video magically appear and play directly on the physical print.  Audio and 3D content can be included as well. PhotoBloom AR is a cloud-based system, so anyone who has the app can scan and experience as well.

Starting out in 2017 in San Jose California, PhotoBloom AR received a warm reception when it showcased at the 2018 SXSW.  The technology has been gaining steady awareness with Content Magazine, Shack News and The Sandhill all covering the budding company.

Entrepreneurs and their companies under the Double Down Ventures umbrella receive fundraising assistance, capital investments, and resources across multiple industries to help thrive and achieve their goals. Other Double Down Ventures companies include Big League Pillows, 500 Level and Lumativ.
