Since making their grand debut at Coachella in 2009, Coolhaus has journeyed quite the distance.

To date, Coolhaus can be found in over 4,000 retailers across the country, including Whole Foods, Kroger, and Safeway in addition to Asia and the Middle East. The company operates a fleet of ten ice cream trucks in LA, NYC, and Dallas and operates two scoop shop storefronts in Southern California. They also specialize in private events, catering and activations, curating innovative experiences combined with extraordinary quality-driven ice cream.

Also, now, depending on your location—one click brings you directly to GrubHub—you know, for those emergency ice cream needs when you absolutely need on-demand decadent ice cream sandwich delivery.  A savvy store locator helps you find the nearest retailer in your zip code and by product type—whether at home or on-the-go, making it quicker and more convenient to track down that pint of Balsamic Fig & Marscarpone. Lastly, Cool.haus can be accessed by desktop, tablet, and your mobile devices—making it one hundred percent responsive with top-notch mobility.


Coolhaus co-founders Natasha Case and Freya Estreller started baking cookies, making ice cream, and combining them into “cool houses” in 2008. With mutual backgrounds in the design and real estate fields, they began naming their ice cream sandwiches after architects and architectural movements that inspired them – and eventually decided to take their newfound passion (dubbed “Farchitecture,” or Food + Architecture) to their hometown streets in Los Angeles. So after a few days on Craigslist (and some time convincing their families they weren’t crazy), they found and bought a beat-up old postal van, trekked out to the world-famous Coachella Valley Music Festival in April 2009 to make their debut, and, well…the rest is history.
